This year I have a lot of goals that I want to achieve. I know there are a lot of struggles to encounter also this year and I will do my best and be consistent every day. What I want to achieve this year is to be consistent and more serious in my academic performance. I will study harder and I will to pass the scholarship program that I will applied to. I want to be part of the scholarship program of the Province because it will help me, especially my education; they will provide my needs in school and it will help my family also. That will help me a lot if I achieve it.

In my physical features, I want to have a bigger body. I want to gain weight. I will exercise more, especially lifting heavy equipment to make my body bulky and strong. I will eat healthy food that will help me to be healthy and physically fit. Self-discipline will be my priority right now. I will love myself more and consistent. I will appreciate myself more and that is what I do. I will take good care of myself physically and mentally. I will improve my mindset and something that I am lacking in. I want to achieve it, to be proud of myself. I am always proud of myself, but I want to be prouder and turn into the proudest.

I want to be a better person this year 2023. I want to go somewhere that is new to me. Honestly, I love to adventure to some places and discover something that for me is interesting. I want to experience something that is new to me, and this year will have lots of fun and lots of new experiences. This year will be a good year and full of surprises. My overall goal is to be a better person this year and to be a good influence to the young ones.

The Most Beautiful Simballay Festival Booth for 2022

Simballay Festival represents the community spirit of Nabunturan and their celebration of thanksgiving for the abundant crops of Davao De Oro's capital town. The opening of the Simballay festival was full of lights that attracted the attention of the people. There were a lot of people who wanted to experience the festival and who were enjoying the "balay-balay". The umbrella walkways and the Balay-balay being in their original location made this year's Simballay Festival go well, in my opinion. The booths ingeniously feature the locals' way of living, original crafts and arts, and tourist spots. All the balays of the festival have uniqueness in their designs, the centerpiece of their respective barangays was amazing. The lights that fill up the town that bring joy to the people, especially to the children, as we are back from the pandemic and now we can experience this as such a thing that we can feel the presence of the Christmas. I enjoyed visiting and witnessing the festival.

As you can see in the picture, we are on the balay of Barangay Poblacion. Inside, you can see lots of things that are unique from the others; all the materials were from the Barangay of Poblacion. The balay of Barangay Poblacion, for me was the eye-catching compared to all the barangays. I am not saying that I am biased because I live in barangay Poblacion. It is because the structure of their balay was all recyclable, the plants are very beautiful and extravagant, the designs of their balay were also stunning, and they presented their local products like nuts, coconuts, bananas, and so on. Their representative was very supportive, their Barangay Captain and their Barangay Kagawads, that who are very passionate about their work in presenting the beautiful balay and I think it paid off because of their effort. Also, the people who are in-charge inside of the balay, they are very approachable and they are pleasant to communicate to the visitor of the balay. Overall, the Barangay Poblacion was deserving to call the most beautiful Simballay Festival Booth for 2022.

The one problem with the festival was the spacing of the event. We can observe that it is a very tight space. I hope for the next year's Simballay Festival will improve the spacing of the event. It should occupy all the space to give more breathable space. The placing of the event was OK for me because it was placed in the roads that is near to the market or the center of the town. And I think the vendors should be organize to make the space comfortable for the people who are visiting the festival. I am looking forward for the next year's Simballay Festival and this year's Festival I am proudly to say that it was successful event and a very safe event. As a Nabunturanon, we should support our festival event because it represents our traditions and culture that mold us in this generation. Once again, as a Nabunturanon, I am proud of being an "anak' of the beautiful Nabunturan. Simballay Festival is in the heart of every Nabunturanon.
